Wolverhampton & The Black Country’s First LGBT Pride

What’s going on…
The walking parade begins at 11am from Market Square, Wolverhampton, walking a 1 mile route through the City Centre, ending back at Market Square. We have a couple of bands, Peter Tatchell, along with lots of LGBT and non LGBT organisations. You are welcome to join us if you would like to, if so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The main area in School Street and Fold Street will be officially opened by The Mayor, Mrs Mills at 12:30, followed by a speech by Superintendent J Thomas-West and then Peter Tatchell, before the entertainment begins. The main stage included Vicky Jackson, Austin Drage, Cassidy Connors, Marty, Jenny Jones, Eeek, Glitter Lipz, Diva Fever, DJ Shorty, Lipz got talent final, Champagne Shirley, Mama Trish, Divina De Campo and Tom Read and more!
We have a building on Fold Street where there will be a speaker’s corner where a variety of interesting speakers will appear, to include author Fiona Shaw and Dr. Surya Monro, who has extensive research experience, primarily gocused around the areas of gender, sexuality, citizenship and democracy. This internal area is also where the health and wellbeing stands, stalls and taster sessions will be. So far this area includes: Reiki, hand massage, manicure, nail art, Indian head massage, drug and alcohol awareness etc.
As well as commercial stalls, fairgrounf rides, a selection of catering, face painting and temporary tattoos, there’s something for everyone!
To ensure the day will be happy and safe event, the area is gated, tickets can be bought in advance from £3 and are available from LGBT Wolverhampton office, 4a Salop Street or Gorgeous or Divine.
